Finnish band Magyar Posse introduces you to a minimalistic, emotional and somewhat cinematic experience. This album in particular - Random Avenger, their third - hit me like a burst of warm light the first time I listened to it. It plays with your senses and carries you to places you thought you haven't been before, musically speaking that is. It is at the same time deep, sad, vibrant and even nostalgic. It doesn't resemble anything I've heard before in this genre or any other for that matter and the way it induces feelings in all directions makes this album one of the most interesting experiences I've had in recent times.

Grand start - Whirlpool of Terror and Tension - beautiful closer - Popzag. You may get lost somewhere in the middle but if you can endure the experience, you'll feel as if you've just read a book or watched a movie in which you've actually immersed yourself into.

Album Rating: 8.0
Pros: solid, original and rich experience; Violins!
Cons: it might be too special for its own good?
